IPL Photofacial Treatment Process
Your IPL photofacial will be performed by one of our expert providers in our beautiful office. Before your treatment begins, your provider may apply a topical anesthetic to your treatment area. This is to ensure you stay comfortable throughout your entire treatment. Once numb, your technician will begin applying quick bursts of intense pulsed light therapy to your treatment area, typically the face, neck, and chest areas. Each treatment session typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

IPL Photofacial Recovery
Because the IPL photofacial is a noninvasive procedure, there is no downtime required following each treatment session. Patients are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately following their photofacial appointments.
Our patients may find their skin to be red and sensitive to the light, similar to the sensation of a sunburn. This is normal and generally resolves on its own within a few days of treatment. We ask that our patients keep their treated areas hydrated and protected with a high-quality SPF lotion throughout this recovery period.
